SKTdawg's Story

Joined squad: Summer of 2003

I started flying WWII aviation sims as a result of my family being very active in the military. My grandfather was in the navy on aircraft carriers, and my father was in the airforce. He learned Russian at the San Bernadino Military Language School and flew reconnaissance missions through the 60's, 70's, 80's.

As long as I can remember, I was being taken to airshows and soon fell in love with airplanes. Especially the P-51 Mustang!!! Many of my early child hood memories are of going to the local airport and watching the C-130 Hercules doing touch and go's.

The first computer game I ever played was Tornado, in 1992, on my pentium 90. In 8th grade I first played Air Warrior when it was free on AOL. I fondly remember doing the old finger down the throat routine to the school nurse so I could go home sick and log on to play.

I am currently a student at Millersville University in PA, working on becoming a Technology Education teacher.

From the -CO-... Tdawg is one of the newer members of the squad and as such has started the "dog" naming convention that makes voice communication so interesting. At this point, we are currently looking for new members with call signs of "Bdawg", "Ddawg", "Edawg", "Gdawg", etc. It's always fun to hear someone call "Seadog" check six and have more than one person answer.
