Seadog's Story
In 1995 I finally got my own computer, a Packered Bell 133. I didn't know much about the inner working of a computer at the time but I desided I would learn as much as I could from books. So I did alot of reading. My wife didn't see me come out of the bathroom for about six months. I started using AOL and one night found the Air Warrior free DL. I tried playing without a stick at first but that just sucked. So I bought my first stick. A real cheap one that I had to replace after a month.
I still sucked at trying to fly until I met up with some good guys from a squad called the Sacred Cows. I started as a gunner, then on to flying bombers. Then on to fighters in Relaxed Realism. I later became the CO of the squadron and later CO of the Ghost Riders.
I got into the scenarios and worked my way up to Group Leader in a lot of them. I started to get bored and needed more. So I moved to Full Realism. That is where I found the SkyKnights. I was a dweeb all over again. I was told the story of Ken Sr. and the tactics he had taught Denny and the others and why the squad was called the SkyKnights. They were more concerned with the mission than with points and rank. That's where I found my home.
I worked my way up from a gunner to flying the heavies. I still suck as a fighter jock even today. Later I was the XO of the Bomber Wing B and then CO of the Group. I loved leading them as they are some very great guys. I stepped down as CO after a year because I thought everyone should get a chance at leadership and the rewards that I felt. So, 2Slow took the reins and lead us into the future when we moved to AH. I have been taught alot from the SkyKnights and still learning and enjoying.
